Aleece was born and raised in southern California. Her father, an avid golfer and runner, instilled in her the desire to compete and excel. Aleece was a varsity athlete on her high school's basketball, volleyball, and track teams. During college she added softball, soccer, fencing, racquetball, and flag football to her repertoire. Aleece had both of her knees reconstructed because of injuries sustained while playing basketball and soccer in high school and college. Determined to continue participating competitively, she embraced the rehabilitation process following each injury. These experiences taught Aleece that training not only increases proficiency, but could also decrease the likelihood of future injury through increased strength.

Aleece earned her BS in Health Education from the University of Alabama. She has been a successful teacher and coach in various youth programs. Since moving to Dallas 10 years ago, she learned to play tennis (singles, doubles, mixed). She has enjoyed team tennis through TCD, Metro Tennis, and USTA, even winning some local tournaments. Performance and strength training took on greater importance with each success on the court. This led to Aleece becoming a certified personal trainer for 24hr Fitness. She has added to her expertise by studying under Everett Aaberg at The Cooper Institute.

As a personal challenge for 2005, Aleece took up running and successfully completed both The Half and the White Rock Marathon. She continues to play tennis out of The Lakes and is a 4.0 rated player. Aleece and her husband John live in Plano with their daughters Carrin and Kayla. Their son Ross attends the University of Arkansas.
