Bill enjoys keeping current on techniques and philosophies of the modern game. While working with young aspiring juniors, Bill believes that it is important for players to learn proper technique to be able to reach their highest potential. Prior to the Lakes, Bill directed an independent junior development program with over 150 students ranging from beginners to Supers. Wanting to accept a new challenge, Bill accepted a position at the Lakes and is excited about strengthening the Junior Development program.
Bill has served several years on the board for the Dallas Professional Tennis Association. He has also been the Dallas coach for the USPTA Junior Grand Prix Championships held at Newks for the past 9 years.
Bill started playing tennis during high school in his small home town of Beaver, Oklahoma. He was a NJCAA Div II National Champion and a member of the Kansas University men’s tennis team. While at Kansas, Bill assisted with the junior development program at Alvamar Racquet Club. Bill came to Dallas after graduating from Kansas to work at Brookhaven Country Club. While at Brookhaven he served as the Director of Early Childhood Development.
Bill and Christi live together in Dallas along with their 2 dogs, Sebastian and Pepper. They also have their 4 cats: Taz, Oakley, Tempe and Autumn. When not on the courts or at a tournament, you will find them on one of the local golf courses.
