David KelleherTennis ProfessionalGrowing up in Abilene, TX, David Kelleher was the younger brother of the family. Watching his older brother start to play tennis, he couldn’t help but want to pick up the game up for himself. So, from the age of 6 years old, he began his tennis journey and it has remained his biggest passion ever since. After moving to South Florida at the age 9, David trained at the Bill Clark Tennis Academy, where he developed most of his fundamental knowledge and competitive passion for the game. He
played all of the state and national tournaments that he could, with a high rate of success at each, so he knows what it takes to be at that level. Some of his notable acheivements and qualifications include:
David went on to play Division 1 college tennis for the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he obtained First Team All-Conference accolades and achieved a singles record of 44-14 throughout his time there. He loves teaching the game of tennis and it brings him so much joy to see his students progress and fall in love with the process at the same time. |
