Matt CookTennis Professional
Matthew Cook is originally from Georgetown, Kentucky, where he attended and played tennis for NAIA Top 20 ranked Georgetown College from 1996-2000. He began his teaching career working at Dallas Athletic Club for 5 years as their Director of Junior Tennis. While there, he also taught TCD and USTA women's teams daily along with various other adult tennis leagues. The next 6 years of his profession were spent at TBarM Racquet Club in Dallas, TX as a High Performance coach. He organized group practices for both full-time and after-school programs. He planned and organized tournament as well as travelled with competitive players of all ages and levels. Matt was honored by being selected to coach Texas’ 14 and under Intersectional team in 2014-2015. Matt believes any player can reach their goals if they are willing to work on the technical, physical, mental, and tactical parts of their games. He pushes all his players to simply work as hard as they can and improve something small every day. Hard work and competing at a high level are two of major aspects he focuses on with his clients. Matt is USPTA P1 Certified. He is also a USTA High Performance graduate and actively involved with USTA Texas RTC and Team USA developmental camps. |
