Phone: 972-668-5253

Since Nick was 8 years old he has spent thousands of hours training to become a great tennis player.  Due to his lack of talent and athleticism, he remains average at best.  However, there are few folks out there that love the sport of tennis more than he does. Hard work, passion and lots of luck earned him a NCAA Division 1 tennis scholarship to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, half way through his freshman year of college he was diagnosed with Leukemia. In May of 1994 he underwent a bone-marrow transplant at Baylor Medical Center.  Thirty days later, doctors pronounced him cured.

Nick immediately got into the business side of tennis in order to help him fund the rest of college.

Nick’s first Assistant Tennis Professional positions were held at Tulsa Tennis Club, Texarkana Country Club, Gleneagles Country Club and finally Northwood Club while in College. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a specialized degree in Club Management

After college graduation, Nick was promoted to Junior Academy Director at Northwood Club where he hired a staff and oversaw all programming responsibilities.  Nick was chosen to represent the USTA Texas section as a National Zonals Coach four consecutive years.  In the 7 years under Nick’s leadership, Northwood Club’s programming set numerous records for growth and increased membership.

Nick was hired as the Director of Tennis at Lakes Tennis Academy in July of 2004.   By the end of the first year of being hired, he was promoted to General Manager.  In December of 2005 he received the “Facility Manager of the Year” award from the USPTA Texas Section for the massive amount of growth the facility experienced in the first 18 months after his arrival.  In May 2006 he was recognized as the “Facility Manager of the Year” for the United States.

In Jan of 2007, Nick purchased Lakes Tennis Academy and became the sole Owner.  Three years later, Lakes Tennis Academy was given one of the top honors of all Private Clubs when the USTA announced that it was the winner of the National "Outstanding Tennis Facility" award for all 50 states.

Nick has been a certified USPTA  Elite Professional for 22 years.  He has served on the Dallas Professional Tennis Association Board of Directors for 7 years.  Many of his closest friends are also in the tennis industry.

Nick and his wife Salina live in Frisco with their three children Blake, Callie and Addison.  Outside of tennis, Nick enjoys spending time with his family boating, biking, soccer, skiing, basketball or anything else outdoors.  Their family attends Preston Trail Community Church.

Nick is passionate about using the vehicle of tennis to make a positive impact on as many lives as possible.
